Stone Flexible Waterproof Backing Adhesive is a two-component backing coating product modified with imported polymer emulsion and formulated by blending multiple inorganic silicate cementitious materials. It creates a new rough interface layer on the stone's reverse side, significantly enhancing bonding strength with cementitious adhesives while offering exceptional compatibility and stability. The product provides robust adhesion, effectively reducing issues like hollow spots, delamination, and detachment during wet-set stone installation. It exhibits strong adhesion to stone, ensuring reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor environments. Through the flexible, continuous film layer formed by the inorganic silicate system, the adhesive delivers high water resistance, outstanding weather resistance, and enduring strength, significantly reducing stone defects such as water stains and efflorescence. Its polymer emulsion exhibits excellent permeability, enhancing the inherent strength of the stone itself and reducing breakage rates during transportation and installation. After curing, it exhibits minimal shrinkage and good flexibility, along with outstanding acid and alkali resistance and anti-corrosion properties.
This two-component product features an emulsion packaged in 20kg plastic drums and powder in 40kg composite bags. Each set comprises one drum of emulsion paired with one bag of powder. The recommended total application rate is approximately 0.5–0.6kg/m², adjustable based on stone specifications and backing texture. Suitable for wet-laid installation of various stone materials, this product effectively enhances bonding strength between surfaces while reducing hollow spots and detachment. It also provides protective treatment for stone backsides, helping prevent common stone ailments like water stains and efflorescence. This ensures reliable, long-term stability for stone applications.
