Precautions for Building Energy Conservation and Insulation

During winter insulation construction at building sites, pay close attention to weather changes. Suspend work when temperatures drop sharply or snow falls, especially when temperatures fall below 5°C. Freezing conditions during insulation curing can cause cracks or water ingress, compromising the quality of external wall insulation.

During construction, workers should maintain appropriate consistency for mortar and water-cement ratios to prevent excessive thinning that prolongs setting times and causes other issues. Optimal construction periods are midday when sunlight is strongest and temperatures are highest.

Under low temperatures, the setting and curing times for mortar and foaming agents significantly increase, consequently extending the required curing period. Additionally, building orientation impacts construction efficiency. During winter, the south side, receiving the longest sunlight exposure, can be scheduled for last construction, while the north side, with the shortest sunlight exposure, should be prioritized for construction.

In summary, winter insulation construction requires comprehensive consideration of climatic conditions, construction scheduling, and building orientation to ensure the quality of the insulation project.
