Stone Tile Adhesive

Stone Tile Adhesive

Natural marble, granite, slate and travertine do not behave like ordinary ceramic tile. They are heavier, vary in porosity and surface structure, and some are moisture-sensitive or resin-backed, so a generic tile mortar often fails to support them without sag, staining, or unstable bedding. Our Stone Tile Adhesive is a polymer-modified, factory-blended dry powder (model YT-300A) developed specifically for installing dimensionally stable natural stone on walls and floors. It is formulated for controlled workability, good mortar transfer, and steady support under the stone, with white grades available for light-coloured stone where discoloration risk must be controlled and grey grades suited to darker materials. Back-buttering is built into the method for large-format or irregular slabs so that no unsupported voids are left beneath the face. Moisture-sensitive, resin-backed, or agglomerated stone should be confirmed separately, as technical guidance points to reactive-resin (epoxy) systems for those products rather than a standard cementitious bed.

Natural stone work rewards a disciplined supply chain more than a clever spec. As a dry-mix manufacturer operating specialized mortar lines since 2003, we control raw-material proportioning, particle distribution, mixing uniformity and water demand on every batch, which is what keeps bed thickness and shrinkage predictable across a large stone order. Our team also gives product-selection guidance before shipment - stone identification, substrate preparation, adhesive colour choice and bedding depth - so distributors can recommend the correct grade with confidence. Over 60 patented technologies in building materials, structures and production equipment underpin the consistency behind the bag.

Applications

- Marble wall and floor installation - the white grade avoids shadowing through light stone, while controlled workability lets installers align heavy slabs on vertical walls.

- Granite flooring and stair treads - high-density granite carries heavy point loads; the stable, low-shrinkage bed reduces voids under wear traffic.

- Hotel lobbies, reception areas and feature walls - a consistent bedding layer supports large-format natural stone in high-profile commercial interiors.

Customization

White or grey grade selection per stone colour; bag size and private-brand labeling available; formulation support for your local climate. A compatibility trial with the actual stone, substrate and site conditions is recommended before a large project.

Packaging & Transportation

40 kg multi-layer moisture-proof valve bags (model YT-300A), standard palletized, strapped and shrink-wrapped. EXW from our Deqing factory, with container loading to Ningbo or Shanghai for onward ocean freight.

FAQ

Q: Can I use this adhesive for resin-backed marble?

A: Resin-backed or highly moisture-sensitive stone generally requires a reactive epoxy adhesive. Confirm the stone type with us first; this cementitious grade is intended for compatible, dimensionally stable natural stone.

Q: Do I need to back-butter large stone slabs?

A: Yes. For large-format, thin, or irregular slabs, back-buttering in addition to notched-trowel bedding on the wall or floor ensures full contact and eliminates unsupported voids.

Q: Which colour should I choose - white or grey?

A: Use the white grade for light-coloured or translucent marble where cement grey could show through; use grey for darker granite and dense stone where appearance is less sensitive.
