Product Description
Traditional 10–15 mm thick mortar joints between lightweight blocks do more than waste material. Those thick beds create thermal bridges that bleed the insulation value out of the whole wall, and high mortar shrinkage raises the risk of joint cracking. Our AAC Masonry Adhesive (YT-200) is designed around thin-bed jointing of only 2–3 mm. The thin bed eliminates thermal bridging, cuts mortar consumption by up to 80%, and speeds wall construction by over 50%. It is a high-strength, polymer-modified adhesive with exceptional water retention, so the dry, porous blocks cannot prematurely suck the water out of the joint; the cement hydrates fully, the bond reaches maximum strength, and the joint stays stable and crack-free.
Thin-bed masonry rewards consistency above all, because a 2–3 mm joint leaves no room for batch-to-batch variation. We produce this adhesive from premium polymers and graded sands on our fully automated dry-mix line in Huzhou, which guarantees uniform particle distribution and high shear bond strength essential for walls facing wind loads and minor seismic action. For overseas developers and distributors, the thin-bed approach also brings a yield-to-weight advantage: far less material per square meter of wall, which directly lowers ocean freight, inland transport and handling cost compared with bagged cement. It is a green-building and logistics win in one.

Applications
- Thin-bed laying of AAC / ALC blocks and panels - the 2–3 mm joint removes thermal bridges and keeps the wall's insulation continuous.
- Lightweight concrete block walls and thermal-insulation partition walls - high shear bond supports walls against wind and light seismic loads.
- Jointing of high-absorption brickwork and precast lightweight masonry - the ≥98% water retention prevents the block from drying out the joint before it cures.
Customization
Custom open times optimized for very hot or humid climates; formulation adjustment to match local compressive and flexural strength requirements; private-brand packaging with your logo.
Packaging & Transportation
25 kg plastic-lined moisture-proof woven bags; 40 bags per pallet, securely palletized and shrink-wrapped. Container shipping EXW Deqing with pre-loading quality inspection.
FAQ
Q: What joint thickness does this adhesive produce?
A: A thin 2–3 mm bed, rather than the traditional 10–15 mm mortar joint. This is what eliminates thermal bridging and sharply cuts material use.
Q: Does the thin bed still hold up structurally?
A: Yes. It reaches ≥10.0 MPa compressive strength at 28 days and ≥1.0 MPa shear bond, designed to support lightweight block walls against wind and minor seismic loading.
Q: How does it save money on shipping?
A: Because only 2–3 mm of adhesive is used per joint, material consumption falls by up to 80%. Far less bag weight goes into the container per square meter of wall, cutting freight and handling cost.
