Product Description
AAC and ALC panels are lightweight and insulating, but they are fragile - easily chipped, cracked or knocked during transport, handling and installation. Repairing the damage with ordinary cement mortar is a mistake, because standard mortar is far too dense, heavy and brittle: its different thermal expansion coefficient causes shrinkage cracks and the patch eventually detaches. Our AAC Patching Mortar is a lightweight, polymer-modified repair material formulated with hollow micro-aggregates and high-strength synthetic fibers to match the low density, thermal conductivity and breathability of the panel itself. Workers can fill damaged corners and deep joints, and the repaired section expands and contracts in step with the surrounding block, which eliminates cracking and water ingress. It builds vertically up to about 50 mm in a single layer without shrinking or sagging.
Repairing rather than discarding damaged panels is a direct margin lever on green-building sites. We produce this fiber-reinforced mortar under automated control on our dry-mix lines, with the R&D center tuning vertical-build and sag resistance so deep cavities can be filled in one pass instead of several. The low dry density (600–800 kg/m³) keeps the patch thermally matched rather than creating a cold bridge, and the <0.05% linear shrinkage avoids the cracks that open up with dense repair mortars. For distributors and contractors, that means salvaging panels that would otherwise be scrapped, and fewer call-backs at handover.

Applications
- Patching chipped corners, deep cracks and transport damage in AAC/ALC panels and blocks - the density-matched patch does not crack or fall away like dense cement.
- Joint filling and surface leveling of aerated concrete partition walls - low-density, breathable fill avoids thermal bridging between panels.
- Cosmetic restoration of lightweight concrete structures before plastering - the fiber-reinforced bed gives a stable, shrink-free surface for the finish coat.
Customization
Colour tone matched from light grey to off-white to blend with regional AAC panel brands; fast-setting for cold climates or extended open time for hot climates; private-brand valve-bag packaging.
Packaging & Transportation
25 kg multi-layer moisture-proof paper valve bags; 40 bags per pallet, wrapped in heavy-duty shrink film with corner protection. Direct transport EXW Deqing to Ningbo or Shanghai port for container shipping.
FAQ
Q: Why can't I repair AAC panels with ordinary cement mortar?
A: Ordinary cement is much denser and stiffer than AAC. Its mismatched thermal movement and shrinkage cause the patch to crack and detach. This mortar is lightweight and fiber-reinforced to match the panel's density and breathability.
Q: How thick can one repair layer be?
A: About 50 mm in a single vertical layer, thanks to the sag-resistant formulation, so deep cavities and chipped corners can be built up without multiple coats.
Q: Does the repaired patch create a thermal bridge?
A: No. At 600–800 kg/m³ dry density it is formulated to match AAC's low thermal conductivity, so the repair stays thermally consistent with the panel rather than forming a cold spot.
