Polymer Waterproofing Mortar

Polymer Waterproofing Mortar

Polymer Waterproofing Mortar is a rigid, cement-based thick-layer waterproofing material made from cement, selected aggregates, and high-performance polymer additives. It is designed as a structural waterproofing layer for vertical building facades and moisture-prone areas, where it adheres strongly to mineral substrates and builds a dense, firm, stable protective coat. The polymer additives improve adhesion and workability over plain cement mortar so the mix stays uniform after mixing and yields repeatable results across a wall face. It is a rigid, buildable layer rather than an elastic film; it depends on a well-prepared, saturated-surface-dry substrate to perform.

Product Description

The automatic dry-mix line meters cement, graded sand, and polymer additives by weight, so the water-to-powder ratio that gives the recommended consistency is the same on every batch. Our quality control tracks water demand, workability, and finish compatibility, which matters because a rigid thick-layer mortar is unforgiving of inconsistent mix. Batch-by-batch incoming raw-material inspection keeps cement and polymer additive quality stable across container orders, giving distributors a consistent product for facade and basement work.

Vertical and horizontal damp-area structures

Applications

- Exterior building facades and parapet walls - rigid thick layer resists rain-driven damp penetration on vertical wall faces where a flexible film would be overkill.

- Bathroom and kitchen walls - waterproofing coat behind tiling on interior wet-area walls, applied as a buildable rigid layer.

- Basement and below-grade masonry walls - dense coat protects prepared concrete and masonry from damp soil and seepage pressure.

- Daughter walls and roof-edge details - robust vertical waterproofing where plaster and rendering meet the roof edge.

Customization

Polymer content and thickness grade can be matched to exposure (above-grade facade vs. below-grade damp area); custom bag sizes, private-brand packaging, and project-specific color (cement grey base) are available on request.

Packaging & Transportation

The dry mortar is packed in multi-layer moisture-proof valve bags, palletized with strapping and shrink wrap for export. Goods ship ex-factory (EXW) from Deqing, Zhejiang; exact bag weight per SKU and pallet loading are confirmed per quotation.

FAQ

Q: Does the substrate need to be damp before application?

A: Yes. The wall must be solid, clean, and pre-wetted to a saturated condition with no standing water, because a dry, absorbent substrate would rob the mortar of mix water and weaken the bond.

Q: How long should it dry before tiling or rendering?

A: Plan on roughly 24 hours of drying before follow-on work; in cool or humid conditions, allow the layer to cure longer and confirm it has turned uniformly dry before applying a finish.

Q: Is this mortar suitable for cracks that continue to move?

A: No. It is a rigid, structural waterproofing layer for sound substrates. Moving or live cracks must be treated separately with a flexible, crack-bridging system before or instead of this mortar.
