Product Description
Porcelain Tile Back Adhesive (model YT-302, vitrified tile flexible back glue) is a high-performance, two-component back-side bonding adhesive modified with imported premium polymer emulsion and blended with multiple inorganic silicate materials. It is designed for the reverse side of wet-laid porcelain tiles and creates a new, micro-rough bonding interface on the tile back, which markedly raises adhesion between the tile and cementitious bedding materials. That directly addresses the hollow spots and detachment that plague wet installation of dense, low-absorption, smooth-backed porcelain and similar tiles. Beyond porcelain, it suits other low-water-absorption, dense, smooth-surfaced tiles and stones, and combines high bond strength, flexibility, low cure shrinkage, and compatibility with cement-based adhesives.
The liquid emulsion and inorganic silicate powder are produced as matched sets on our coating line, so the ratio in each kit is fixed and field remixing is minimized. The import-grade emulsion is screened for film-forming and tack behavior, and the micro-rough interface concept is backed by our R&D center's testing on dense tile backs, which means the cured coat reliably converts a non-absorbing tile back into a bondable surface. Set-by-set ratio control reduces batch-to-batch variation that distributors often see when powder and liquid come from separate suppliers.

Applications
- Wet-laid porcelain and vitrified tiles - roughens the non-absorbing factory back so traditional cement mortar can grip and resist hollowing and pop-off.
- Low-absorption, dense, smooth-surfaced stones and tiles - extends the same bonding fix beyond porcelain to other dense-format materials that reject ordinary mortar.
- Residential bathrooms, kitchens and balconies - stable back bonding in wet, high-humidity rooms where detached tiles would be costly to repair.
- Public-space wall and floor installations - raises the safety margin on high-traffic commercial decorative tiling over the long service life of the system.
Customization
Emulsion grade and coat thickness can be tuned to tile format and absorption class; custom drum/bag labeling, private-brand packaging, and matched-set kit sizes are available on request.
Packaging & Transportation
The liquid component is packed in 20 kg plastic drums and the powder in 40 kg composite bags, sold as matched sets; pallets are strapped and shrink-wrapped. Goods ship ex-factory (EXW) from Deqing, Zhejiang, with SDS supplied for the liquid component.
FAQ
Q: Why does porcelain tile need a back adhesive at all?
A: Porcelain and vitrified tiles are dense and nearly non-absorbent, so plain cement mortar cannot key into the back. The adhesive builds a micro-rough, cement-compatible interface that the mortar can grip, which is what prevents hollow sounds and detachment.
Q: When is the tile ready for wet-set installation?
A: After cleaning and drying the tile back and applying the mixed adhesive, wait until the coat has fully cured into a slightly rough, tacky film, then proceed with traditional wet-set bedding using cement mortar. Do not install on a wet, glossy coat.
Q: Can it be used on natural stone backs as well?
A: Yes. It is also suitable for various low-water-absorption, dense-textured, smooth-surfaced stones and tiles; as with any back treatment, trial the specific stone batch before full installation.
